Bowers Kidseum

I discovered the Bowers Kidseum when I needed to find a fun indoor place for my three year old's birthday party instead of going to the Santa Ana Zoo in the rain! I wasn't sure what to expect and booked it site unseen. Well, I was not disappointed. This children's museum has the perfect ingredient for preschool age children - they can touch everything. There are beautiful musical instruments laid out on low, easy to reach platforms. The drums were a favorite of the kids and adults. Everyone enjoyed dressing up in the international dress up clothes. There was a funny rope and wood bridge and the kids enjoyed running back and forth across it. The kids (and parents) tried on various masks - some simple and some quite big and elaborate. I can't wait to go back and spend some time with my son playing (and learning) at the Bowers Kidseum!

Oh - and right now every first Sunday of the month is free courtesy of Target. See www.bowers.org/visit/kidseum.jsp for more information.
